Truly theres no such thing as selling out. Its a phrase used by people to vent frustration at other peoples success or popularity.

People bang on about bands selling out when quite clearly the band having sold out goes on to produce shit load of tunes and pots and pots of cash.

Bands that dont sell out run into debts and usually end up defunct.
